Founded historically in September 2016 by two passionate students, and formerly known as SeedboxWS, SoKloud is now an individual company offering you different seedbox hosting and cloud storage packages.
A Seedbox is a shared space (on dedicated servers in the case of SoKloud) dedicated to downloading and sharing data. The most important advantage of this tool is that it can send and receive at high speeds.
The speeds available depend on the server on which the data is hosted and the package chosen by the customer. Data transfers can reach speeds of 10Gbps under the best conditions.
Downloading and sharing within the seedboxes themselves is then done at a speed much higher than any xDSL connection and certain fiber connections.
What's more, it's completely autonomous when it comes to downloading/sharing, so you don't need to leave your personal computer on continuously for your seedbox to work.
The principle of data recovery from the seedbox uses an FTP(S)/SFTP/HTTPS link, i.e. direct access between your computer and the contents of the seedbox. Your downloads are therefore not directly detectable, are carried out at the maximum speed of your Internet connection (within the limits of the server's available upload speed) and have no impact on your various sharing sites.
